I am a painter working in Watercolor and Acrylic. Playing with color, transparency, and patterns gives layers to the painting. My abstracts are about movement and moods. I am attempting to simultaneously paint what is in front (the future) and behind (the past) my subject.
My love for the past led me to study Art History at The University of Texas. Being exposed to so many types of art through Art History, my own work started to develop and become inspired by the artists I was visiting in the classroom.
When starting a new painting I keep several things in mind, but the most important thing is "Make every inch beautiful." And with every finished piece I find that there are always more stories to tell.
